Appliance Dissection Project
Electromagnets are used in everyday items such as toasters, refrigerators and traditional doorbells. Their ability to be turned “off” (non-magnetic) to “on” (magnetic) just by starting or stopping an electric current through it allows it to be used in many different items. Your task is to “dissect” a common household appliance and create a group presentation that explains how electromagnets aid in the function of that device.
