SWBAT:

• Justify theme statements with direct embedded quotes from your novel.
•   Research and justify real-world connections to your theme statements with direct embedded quotes (Context, Quote, Analysis).

*Students will relate an appropriate real world theme topic based on their literature circle novel.

*Students will compose a relevant theme statement which incorporates the real world theme topic to be their claim.

*Students will support this novel theme through finding direct evidence in their novels.

*Students will conduct research and justify a real-world connection to the novel theme.

*Students will design a presentation using their organizers and present it in class.
